2011/2012 F150 Problems or Issues?
Anyone experiencing any problems or issues with their 2011/2012 New Generation F150's? (I know, I know but the 2012's are about to come out).
And any suggestions on bettering the new F150.
Here is one from me:
Wish telescopic steering was available on anything less than a Lariat. It can be a long reach for us long legged types.

I have the power tilt/tele and it does not come back far enough for me.
Finally, a vehicle I can really stretch my legs out in, and I can't reach the steering wheel !

Rear sliding window quit working - Replaced with a new one
Vibration in speeds above 75 mph - 1st balanced and rotated tires, no change. 2nd torsion balanced tires, no change. Yet to be resolved.
Recently acquired a shutter in the 15-20 mph (1-2 upshift) range - issue hasn't been addressed yet.
Other than having to use a key rather than a fob and correcting the above issues, I'm all good.

Mine had the tranny pump failure/TSB at 2K miles. I also had a very persistent oil leak at the front timing cover. It was finally fixed with the replacement of the timing cover itself...some type of flaw in the one that it came with. Other than that very happy with it. 19.4 avg mpg over 15K miles.

The best bet is to wait for 2012 or 2013. I read about far to many problems in the 2011s. 2012s are just around the corner.

My 2011 has had problems with vibrations on the highway, tire treads pulling apart, a hesitation/stutter accelerating from a dead stop, as well as memory telescoping wheel that only remembers where it should go 50% of the time.
I've had less issues on a $10k used car than I've had on a $50000 truck. Seems nuts.
