Old thread I know, I have a brand new f150 stx 3200miles, and an old beat up set of heated with turns mirrors, possible to switch the components? So the heat and blinkers work in my new and fresh mirrors as supposed to using the old nasty ones?

I swapped my stx mirrors with pf/htd/ts mirrors and just swapped out the shells and caps with my mirrors, since mine were in better shape. The ts will work but you have to swap your heater control to get the heaters to work. Power fold takes a bit more work which I haven't had the time to do yet. I also had the dealer install a rear defrost/power sliding window and I installed a new heater control and now everything works. I installed heater control part # DL3Z-19980-F but if you're just planning on having heated mirrors and no rear defrost you will need DL3Z-19980-E.

I have manual folding electric mirrors--no turn signal no defrost----is it possible to swap those out for ones that have what I want and if so, Do i need to change out my heater control section? 2013 Ford F-150 XL

Yes. You don't need rear. The mirrors and rear defrost work off of the same button

Does anyone know if adding just the heated glass to a 2014 STX is PnP? And would I need a newer style climate control or can I use one that just has the mirror option in it? Starting to get used to no signal in the mirror but the heated glass will come in handy this winter.
