2010 SCAB & Car Seats
Hi Everyone,
I've read several posts here regarding the SCAB and car seats. Unfortunately, when I chose my SCAB 6 years ago, the wife & I had no intention of having kids. Today, it's a different story. It's not a possibility at this time to trade my SCAB to a SCREW.
I've been researching car seats and I've narrowed it down the Britax B-Safe 35 and the Chicco KeyFit 30 for infant seats. I haven't been able to find anything regarding my truck and those seats.
Both of those will easily fit my wife's Durango. She has lots of room. My truck will not be a primary baby hauler, but it will still be a common occurrence.
Anyone here have an experience or pictures with these combos?
Thanks,
Tim

Rear facing seat will fit in the middle. It's tight but it works. I did it in a 06 and I believe it was a little smaller than a 10. I got rid of it before I tried any forward facing seats

As mentioned, infant seat fits in the middle. I have the key 30, that's what we did. We have a diono something or other now, not sure on the model, but it transforms. It fits great behind the passenger seat... But as kids get taller, they kick the seat, I need to get a cover thing

In my 07 SCAB, the rear facing seat fit in the middle with no issues. Since the middle seat is the safest location, and the car seat had the detachable base, it worked out great.
The front Facing Britax fit in every location with no issues.
Let me see if I can find any pictures for you.

Like I said, unfortunately, upgrading not an option right now. I'm probably one of the few people in the world where low gas prices are a bad thing.
I'm at work for the next ten days, so I don't have access to my truck.
mbullock, how was it trying to get the infant seat in and out of the truck? Were you able to use the LATCH in the middle or did you use the middle belt with the base?
Thanks,
Tim

I purposely bought a scab just so I could avoid the above "problems". Seriously, hauling the lifeblood sucking urchins is woman's work anyways.
