Default Warning!!!

Just went to remove my rear view and cracked the window with the slightest bit of pressure. Pretty pissed but what are you gonna do, Just warning everyone if you ever need to remove it be very careful i barely touched it!

The reason the mirror broke is because it is not a break away mirror like on the older ford trucks. It is a different type mirror and the slightest pull will or could crack the windshield.

Sorry to hear about that. My Windshield is cracked in multiple places and has several chips. Such is life. It will get replaced when any cracks start to hinder visibility.

Hey i own a Tint shop in louisana and the mirrors on the 2009 to 2012 are impossible to get off with out breaking the windshield ... we do tint strip on those trucks all the time we have to cut around mirror bracket and cut a line straight up above it... you dont see the line above it bc it overlaps a tiny bit... it does take more time to do it right tho with the mirror on....

the glass on the current generation of Fords is too soft / breakable. I see people with broken windshields all the time (I'm one of them)

Yeah i tint too and never did a strip on these trucks. I was gonna cut around it but too late haha. Atleast it was my truck not a customers
