Default 2010 FX2 to FX4

Hello all,

I have a 2010 SCREW FX2(1st pic) and I am trying to get it leveled like an FX4 or look like the FX4 pics I posted. I couldn't find a real answer in the forums.

However, I have an idea of what I want to do: (has sock 18s)
A) I was wondering if it was possible to put on 34's with a 2" or 2.5" level (no rear block)? Both kits are front spacers.
Tire I am looking at: Cooper S/T Maxx: 295/70r18 (smallest 34 @ 34.35"x11.5")

B) If 34's are not feasible, then I will put a 2" level and purchase either the Kelly Tsr or Cooper S/T Maxx at 275/70r18 (largest 33 @ 33.4")

-Tire research based off 18" rim for AT tires (not MT tires)

For the haters (I like to stir the pot):
1) Do I need it leveled with big tires since it is 2wd? No! However I like the look. I live in the concrete mecca that people refer to as Houston and I haven't seen an open field in years. I drive 1500+ miles a month and a 4wd is an extra cost I won't have to absorb. (yes, I know the tires will hurt my mpg)

2) Could I have got a 2013 FX4 with a 4"-6" lift with 35s? Yes! I do like the look, but as a working business professional my boss and clients would think I am an idiot. Plus I save $12-15,000.

3) Does a good looking leveled 2014 f150 4wd get you laid more than a good looking 2010 f150 2wd in Houston? No! Most girls here are basic and 99.83% have no idea what your truck is (lol, had to say it from a previous forum).

4) Would I put a 6" lift on a 2wd? No! But I am compromising with a level kit.

5) Are Chevy trucks garbage? No! Obviously not since I see them everywhere. I had a 07 Tahoe before this and I loved it and I may buy a new one 2-3 years from now. However I did fall in love with my buddy's FX4 when he let me drive it.

I'm in the same boat as you. black 2010 fx2, trying to get it to fx4 height (i have the 20 inch wheels). I don't think the 34 inch tires would fit especially with it being over 34 @ 34.35 and decently wide. I'm not sure though so don't take my word. They may fit with a 3 inch level but I wouldn't recommend that either.

What I'm going to do is similar to your option B). I'll probably get a 2.5" level, 4wd rear blocks to keep some rake, and get 33 inch tires then maybe 1.25" spacers to give it a better stance. Good luck on leveling your truck. and post pics when you do.

Here's my fx2

Awesome! Well I talked to two firms today and they said I can run 34's but only on stock 18" rims. Seems odd but you think you could do it with any 18" rim. Thats also with no block and the kit is 2.5". I am still debating on just getting the 275/70 since it still looks good and saves a little mpg.

Let me know how it goes! Still got some tread on these tires so I won't be upgrading for a few months.

I threw on a leveling kit for it this weekend, I had to go a few hours to get it done but I was in that city for work anyways. All the local shops have like 2-3 week wait. They guy said he would install a 2.5", then I asked him if he had a 2" ( I was getting the 2.5 anyway, just curious). Then he said a 2-2.5 is the same thing, each manufacturer measures it from a different point and they all do the same thing for each year/model. From these forums, I thought he was crazy and left. I guess he knew his ****, it's leveled (used tape) and looks good. I'll post a pik when I put new shoes on it.
