Running lights installed in mirrors
Hello F150 members; My F150 is a 2012, 3.5L Lariat 4x4 s-crew:
First off I apologize if this post is in the wrong forum, and secondly I have searched for the answer to my question with no luck. I installed two strips of LED's in each mirror. One set is used for the blinkers and work with no problem. I spliced them into the existing blinker wires already there. I watched the Youtube video on this installation before starting. and then
the running lights worked great for about a week and then quit as well as the side marker and running lights on the front of the truck. The rear works fine. The only thing I did different from the video instructions was I did not use pin no. 6 as shown because my test light showed it stayed continously "hot". Therefore, I spliced into the existing running light wire behind each headlight. Can someone help me out here and tell me how to fix this so that all the running lights on the front, and mirrors will work. (fuse 30 is not blown). It sure did look good to have the running lights on when the blinkers flashed at the same time. All the other electric components work. I hope there is a simple fix and the BCM(?) does not play a roll in this.
Thanks for your input.

I'd test them by touching straight to the battery to make sure the strips are not defective. If they work, you can wire them into the fuse box in the passenger kick panel.
