2010 brake caliper

That is the upper caliper bolt. You slide the rubber boot out and you can get a wrench on it to remove it. The wire is for ABS and is not connected to the thing I am talking about.

what "thing" are you talking about from the picture?? The round part attached to the caliper that is sticking out is part of the stability/traction control, if your talking about anything else then i dont know what your asking?

That is the thing that I am talking about. I fail to see how a caliper bolt has anything to do with traction control or stability. Again that wire is NOT connected to it. That wire is ABS and is not connected in any way to the bolt in question. There are no wires connected to the bolt therefore it cannot be a sensor of any kind

Bye F150, hello F250
Trac control uses the brakes, turned on and off at the master cylinder, electronically. RSC and trailer sway (if equipped) uses the brakes as well, and senses the truck's roll (left to right rocking) and yaw (left to right swinging).
I have RSC, and just went outside to see my rears. I do not have that long piece on mine. Just 2 bolts and rubber boots. There was a diff in the brakes between 09 and 10.
