Default 2010 5.4 xlt 4x4 Inconsistent / early shifts

I have only had this truck for about 3 weeks now but I noticed that tends to shift alot when I'm just cruising down the highway at 55 to 65 miles per hour with the slightest change in terrain. I traded in my 1999 four wheel drive
5.4 L and the shirt consistency was a lot better on it compared to this truck. Is this common, or is there something going on that I need to have address? Reprogram? I have factory size tires on it, and a cold air kit on the engine and that is it. Transmission shifts positively, but it just seems like it shifts up and down a lot with very little or no throttle change. I'm turning about 15 to 1600 rpm at that speed, so I assume the problem is I'm lugging the engine. I plan on putting 33x12.5's on it, & a tuner, will that help?

I've never had that on mine and I've owned it since new.

It's not in "tow mode" is it?

No its not in tow mode. I wonder is there any way to reprogram the transmission without going to the shop? As I said, I am putting a tuner on it later and I will have the option to adjust some transmission parameters but I didn't know if that would straighten out what's going on

A good way to explain it is kind of like my transmission has OCD. " I have to be in overdrive!" It shifts into overdrive, " I'm in overdrive too early!" In downshifts, " I really need to be into overdrive!" Lol I guess it really doesn't hurt its just annoying when it does this so many times right at cruising speed (55 to 65 )
