2010 4.6 Starter fuse blows randomly
This is my first post so pardon any mistakes. I have a 2010 4.6 that just had the starter replaced. Prior to that the #13 fuse (30 A starter fuse) would periodically blow, I would replace and it would be fine for a while then blow. Figured before the new starter it was the selenoid causing the issues but still having the same problem after the new starter has been installed. Had the truck towed to the shop, they replaced the fuse and cannot recreate the fuse blowing after 50 or so starts. Before it was towed I replaced the fuse 3 times and it would continue to blow. In my garage I park against a step could that be causing issues? Thank you in advance for your help.

Great first post! What's the mileage on your rig, and is it currently at your dealership? I'll see how I can help your truck keep from blowing another fuse.

I read somewhere that the wires that go to the starter get corroded and its usually the small connection on the starter that gives out first.. in the diagram it looks like those wires that connect to the starter from the battery

Dan, did you end up finding a solution to your issue? I have the same truck and have been dealing with this intermittent issue for months. Replaced the relay and the starter itself. Still giving me issues, any advice greatly appreciated
