Default 2009 FX-4 supercrew gas mileage not so good

Have 700 miles so far. I've been averaging about 12 mpg. Will this improve as I 'break in' the engine?

Thanks

What type of driving are you mostly doing? When I am driving in the city I only see 12-13 in my 05. The stickers on the 04-08 to the 09 show similar gas mileage so I would have to guess you may see 1 to 2 mile increase at most when you get a few more miles on it.

And you also have to remember that the HWY mpg estimates are for doing 55 or 65 I believe. Not many of us do 55 on the highway.

Only if you're 80. I could have gone other places with that, but I wont.

I have the 5.4 with 3.73's in my '09 screw and at 60 mph I can get 20mpg. I have a 58 mile round trip commute, 90% hwy. and am getting 18-19 mpg. Can only DREAM of 65 mph.

No doubt, that is what is funny about those estimates. I mean really? My truck gets pissed at me if it's under 70

What do you mean when you state "Can only DREAM of 65 mph"? Too many cops or what?
