2009 F150 vs 2010 F150 vs 2010 Chev
Just stepped out of my 2009 F150 and into my new 2010 F150. Had a rental 2010 Chevy 2500 2wd for 3 days.
Only had the new truck for a day, couple of differences between the 09-10. Like the new door/key chime, not quite as loud and sounds nicer. Gone is the ashtray in the dash, replaced by a cupholder one? Used the old one for change, now there is a cubby hole there. Not sure what I could put in there.
Got the backup camera in mirror. All trucks should have this standard.
Power sliding rear window is nice, though you have to get the rear defrost as well and pushes the price up quite a bit.
Vanity mirrors now have lights, what ever.
Now the Chevy 6.0 2500 2wd
I know not apples to apples but just for quaility purposes. 3000kms on it, so very new.
Loud at highway speeds, trans is set up for hauling not fuel econ. It is late in the shifts and wouldn't go into 6th until over 75kmh/45mph. The manual shift buttons on the stalk, would have been better if it would go to the gear selected, but it just limits the up shifts to the gear selected.
Power locks sound like they are going to rip out of the door and slam into the roof.
No sat radio in a SLE? What??
Rattles inside. Steering wheel felt to small. Dated interior. Very rough idle. Trans quirky when going from P-D.
I dont know why anyone would buy a Chev over F150 or Dodge. Poor quaility from my 3 day experience.

Your 2009 to 2010 F150 comparisons I think have more to do with trim level than model year. The changes you referenced were also available in 2009, my guess is that you went from an XLT to a Lariat or something like that.

Same truck XLT W/XTR. Even the same color. Oh ya the rear head rests are now twice as big. Big blind spot.
Definately notice the bigger brakes. E fan seems to help as well. We will see if mileage is any better.
