RNLCOMP - I am not disagreeing. Tasca shows them different.
As far as the fuse overheating, the fuel pump runs all the time. Other loads are intermittent. They might draw the same amps as the fuel pump but have a less than 100% duty cycle. Once a connection starts to heat, it typically loses tension (tightness) or oxidizes the metal either of which will increase resistance and lead to failure. Much like water overtopping an earthen dam.
Do the >=2015 trucks still use the same small fuse?
I can't tell by looking at the owners manual.

The DI TT 3.5 also has an injection fuel pump. Yes that application has two (2) fuel pumps.
What part are you confused with? I'm not looking at a parts fiche, I'm looking at a Ford service manual. Can't comment on the 15> as I do not have access to those documents.

It was asked above if all trucks use the same fuel pump. It was a guy with a NA V6 I think.
I looked at the 2015 owners manual to see if the same size 20A fuse is used. I cannot tell by the diagram but it does not look like the big square one that comes in the repair kit here.

I have struggled with female connection resistance for a long time. I have found that alcohol helps quite a bit.

This seems to be the larger "cartridge" style fuse, instead of the mini fuse. So Ford at least fixed it on the new models.
As I commented above, when I did the mod Saturday afternoon, the target wire is a very stiff 12 gauge wire. Much beefier looking than the dinky little socket and fuse.
