Default 200 Series Remote Starter in a 2012 F150

I'm looking to install one in my 2012 F150 FX4. Should be a nice add for the New England winter that is approaching. Looking at p/n BB5Z-19G364-C which are available on Ebay for a decent price ($274 shipped).

Everything I see says its compatible for the 2011 models, just want to make sure it's good to go on the 2012's before pulling the trigger. I believe it is but just want to be sure.

I understand the dealer will need to activate it, which is a pain, but sounds pretty easy to get done.

I received my kit in the mail today and it looks like it has everything I am in need of. Does anyone have the installation instructions (pdf file), or know where I might be able to find them for the plug and play 200 series remote starter? My kit has a dealer link to the instructions but you can't access them there without a login.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thx.

try http://techservices.codesystems.com/

You have sign up for a username and then you can access a bunch of different files under the Ford tab.

This is a plug and play remote start? How much for one of these and what's the range?

Yes, the 200 Series is a plug and play remote start. There are three options that are available.

A lot of good info can be found in this post:

Just so you know even if you install it yourself you still have to have a dealer program it.

Yes the 100 series comes with 2 new keys and is a little cheaper than the 200. I'm getting the 100 series installed next week for $300

The 100 series is only 1 way - 200 is 2 way... you can tell from the remote if the truck is running or not. and the 200 works from a much longer distance.
