Have you measured your truck to see how much front lift you will need? My 2" front lift put me dead on level, while others need 2.5" to be level. I'm sure your ride height depends on the engine and body style and other accessories.

You would need a spring compressor. I wouldn't run those. Your front end will be really stiff and rough

I put the Heel Bent Steel kit on mine. Kit ran me 75 I think. Did it myself and it was fairly easy...instructions that came with we're very detailed and priceless. Do yourself a favor and ensure you get a coil compressor kit from a arts store first. :-)

Just FYI, those little lugs you put in the coil of your springs lift your truck by putting the spring in a bind. Not a good idea, they are cheap and universal. Considering that a spacer on top of the spring/strut assembly raises the vehicle without putting your springs in a bind, this would be a better lift. Sure it costs a bit more, but with most at $100, give or take, it's not that much money. Don't cut corners and use cheap universal parts on your suspension. Any modifications done to your suspension (or brakes,) should be done with the best quality parts you can afford. I use neither, I have a Rancho quick lift, which replaces the entire spring/strut assembly for it's lift.

If you still wish to use the spacer lugs, just jack up your truck by the frame, so that the tire stays on the ground while the body/frame is lifting up. Once the body/frame has lifted up high enough to start raising the tire off the ground, you have extended your spring to "full droop" and will now have more space to get the lugs started in coil of the spring.
