Picked up a new 2014/Traded in the 2012
Good morning. On Thursday I drove to Omaha,NB Woodhouse to trade in my 2012 for a left over 2014 F-150 XLT with HID lights, Leather, and back up camera. It also has the key pad and locking rear axle. Those are the things I did not have before and are really nice.
I got a pretty decent deal I feel and looking at the purchase price overall between the old truck and new this one is about 3 grand cheaper than I bought the 2012 at, at the end of 2012.
I swapped over my bed mat and tonneau cover so that saves me. I took off the 4X4 stickers, flexfuel, and dealer badging.
The experience on this deal went fairly smooth. Did most of it by email and phone. Omaha is about 1 hour and 45 minutes from my town on way. Once I arrived there they were cleaning it up still and so we did the paperwork. Was in and out of there in less than an hour.
When I got home I checked over the truck and should have done it better before I left. There was a large amount of dirt in the door jams and under he hood and there is some sort of residue on two of the wheels. Wish I had seen it before I left. I did do a full wash on it and sprayed out the door jams and it made a big difference. Still have dirt coming from the rubber door sills dripping while it dries.
Overall though pretty pleased.

Oh they washed it, I went back and saw them and the kid doing it. I just couldn't tell how bad it was in there and did not think he was close to being done.
I emailed the salesman and got a response this morning saying that due to where they park the trucks (they actually call it dirt mountain) and the temporary shop they are using until the new one is complete makes it bad for them to keep them clean.

Good looking truck. I see a lot of folks in western Nebraska with trucks from there. Guess they give pretty good deals cause that's about a 7-8 hour drive from where I'm at.
