So I got around to installing my 2" AS front kit today. Started yesterday and put everything back together because I was unsure about dropping the lower control arms. I called AS today to make sure I was doing it correctly and the guy that answered the phone was extremely helpful. So here are the before and after shots.

Nice, I'll try to post mine tomorrow, I went with 1.5 AS up front and a 2" block in the rear with 2014 STX wheels with 295/55R20 Toyo M/T's.

I added a leveling kit to my 09 years ago I have a 14 now
I'm thinking about getting the front again, but I keep seeing more posts about a 2" rear why is this needed?

I thought the front was the low end??

it's not needed if the truck is a 4x4 with a rear block from the factory. 4x2 trucks don't have rear blocks so it takes less of a leveling kit to make the front higher. also, some replace the stock block which I believe is 1-5/8" with a taller block to lift the rear and retain some rake.

my 14 is 4WD so it has a block? What is rake? Is. 2" still good to go with? Steel plastic or aluminum? I'm leaning toward steel...

Rake is essentially how much lower the front sits than the rear. F150's tend to have a decent amount of rake from the factory. Some like the completely leveled look (I do since I very seldom haul/tow anything) and some want to raise the front but also keep a little rake. That is where adding a taller rear block comes in. I went with HBS which are solid aluminum spacers. I wouldn't go with plastic. I'd go aluminum or steel. Here's the HBS kit I went with: http://www.hellbentsteel.com/2009-20...eling-kit.html

"AS" is Auto Spring, I went with a 2" rear block, the stock block is close to 1.4", I didn't want my truck to be high in the front when I haul my scag mower, it weighs about 1150 pounds, or anything else that has a little weight to it. My rear is almost 1" higher than the front instead of the 2" it came with. 1" of rake.

Thx for the info!! On my past leveling kit and others I have read about suggest unhooking the battery?? Did you do this??
