Leveling Kit UCA Flex
Hey guys, I have been searching everywhere for this answer but have not found what I am looking for.
I put a 3" Level on my 2010 FX4 (1" rear block also). The UCAs are pretty flexed because of the increase. I am looking into getting some new UCAs and ball joints to help it from tapping the shock when going over a bump. Truck drives fine I smash around in it everywhere, but going over speed bumps is hell because of the stiffness (expected from leveling kit) and that noise from it tapping.
I have not seen anyone with a level + after market UCA set up that works better than stock UCA (everything I see is apart of a huge lift kit). Looking to buy, I just want a proven setup before I spend the time and money putting it on. Any advice or links are much appreciated. Thank you.

I would Elvis the 3" spacer level for a genuine 4" suspension lift. As you explained there's simply no droop left in the front suspension after you use 3" of the downward travel with the spacer.

3" is a lot, doable but a lot. I think the most you really want with a level is between 2-2.5" my 2.5 (which in reality only gave me 2) is as much as I think I would feel comfortable doing just because of how close the UCA is to the springs.

I am never doing a level again. However, I am going to be selling the truck for now because I am starting a business and getting a car for the mean time. So I just wanted to replace the UCA and balljoints before sale. Any suggestions on ones with more length?

You might consider dropping to 2", otherwise go with a 4" lift as joedotmac said.
As for UCAs, I run ICONs. I had the same UCA clang on the springs with a 2" coilover BOSS set up, but no more! I got them from a site sponsor: www.F150Lifts.com Alex is good people and he'll take care of you (mention the forum)
So either way, you're going to spend $900 or $"whatever a lift costs". But you should really be more concerned about the extreme angles of your CV joints. 3" in a off road struggle can grenade the CV joints.

Wait if you are selling the truck why put hundreds of dollas worth into it? My vote is to remove the level, sell the spacers, then sell the truck. Maximize yo profits (or minimize your loss of profits)

Thanks for the reply! I checked it out and I cannot believe they are $745! my front and rear leveling kit was less than $300! Shoot. I am assuming that's top of the line? I can get an off brand in this case.

I have 35" MT's on there. I need the level to clear. No more stock wheels.

Ahh I gotcha. Best bet would be swap out for a smaller spacer then. that'd be the cheapest option at like $60-$100. Yeah UCAs are expensive and for a reason, dont cheap on them or you might as well stay stock. And honestly if you did swap them out, its not going to change the fact that a 3" level is pushing some extreme angles.
