Default 12v source controlled by ignition

I'm trying to find a source easy to tap into besides the wiring harness that's controlled by the ignition. Want to hardwire my gps and radar detector.

i like to use fuse taps in the fuse box, just clip it on one that is controlled by the ignition. i only have one in my truck and i used the radio fuse. i use it for my CB radio

Yeah I have ran the stuff up to mount it I jus need to find some power. I'm not aure where the fuse box is inside the truck. I've been using the wiring harness but quit nervous to continnue

Look behind the panel under the dash in the passenger side of the cab.
