Default 09 a/c blower fan stuck on high

hi guys i just got into my truck today after work an i went to go turn my a/c on and the blower was already on high and i went to go put it down and it wont go down its says on the lcd that it does go down but the blower it self is stuck in high what can cause this and how to fix it????

The fault is normally the resistor bank. Item #7. It is wired to give you only high speed upon failure as a safety default.

Try this, should be a fairly easy swap, check it first to see if there is any evidence of it being burnt out. Check that first before you let the dealer charge you for an hours labor.

Yes it was the resistor it took 5min to switch it with the old 1

Where is it located? I have the same issue. That has to be the same fault. Will give it a look first though.

Right under the glove box you will see a circle black box under it its right on the side and there is 2 10mm bolts on it holding it in place way easier to unplug the resistor first.

Same thing happened to my '09; same fix as described above by the dealer under warranty.
