Ya know, I've been wondering how hard it would be to get the chrome sandblasted off and repainted to match the truck...

If mine is like that, it probably would kick my butt into gear and actually do it.

That's what my dealer did originally. Then when I complained they also offered a new bumper and send it to a body shop to paint it before it goes on...or I could wait until Ford actually does something about it.
Hope they come up with a 2010 raptor style replacement that fit the F150...

I noticed small rust spots on the outside of my bumper on the chrome.... WTF I had a 97 Expedition that didn't have rusty bumpers..... something is up with these. I need to go check the backside and see what it looks like.

I'll try to get a pic or two to share.

later

Last word I received from the Service Manager is they (Ford) are still looking into it. I was offered a new bumper that would get painted on the back to prevent this from happening again and I may go that route if something doesn't happen soon.

I would suggest everyone raise h**l with their dealer and keep the pressure on Ford.
