Okay, I installed my speakers and sub today.
I love the sound. This was a perfect set up for me. All made to fit together plug, zip, done.
Well, not that fast. Did take about 5 hours.
2 minor issues:
1) The mounting bracket on the amp was bent out of shape where it mounts to the screw for the emergency brake release. Had to take it off the amp and re-shape to fit.
2) Unfortunately I was following the instructions and moving along. Tucking the sub wire in the track as I moved it to the back seat area. Took the little template and whacked a couple small holes in the rug. Finger probing for mounting holes. Hmmm no hole. Run my arm under the rug, sure enough no hole. Get the sub out of the box and take it to the truck. WTH it doesn't mount on the passenger side, it's set up to mount behind the driver seat.
Okay, got it mounted but what do I with the jack? I'm sure there are instructions somewhere on what to do with the jack but I ain't looking today. (yeah I can toss it under the seat but there has to be a better plan)
Not too thrilled about the extra holes in the rug.
But I dosay it was worth it for me. Sounds great.
Hat tip to Benny, I ordered it on Monday and had it in my hands Thursday.

Thanks for the write up and sorry you had trouble with bracket. The spare tire tools do need to be moved over. The PDF's are too large to post here but will be uploaded to our site shortly.
Thanks,

Bracket wasn't a big deal, only took a few minutes and was easy to bend back in shape.
Now that I have had some time to listen while driving I love this set up.
I certainly recommend this to anyone that's thinking about it.

so to the guys with MFT, have you had any install issues with just the sub upgrade? My audio guys seemed to have a pretty rough install with this and I'm perplexed as to why. The only PDF instuctions I could find were the ones with the 5 channel amp upgrade. I'm not sure where he was taping into the speakers, but said it would play but wouldn't play well and sounded terrible. He ended up calling me back saying they made some wiring changes (not really sure what that means, but I'll let everyone know) and that he was apply to get it working properly. He did tell me that the supplied harness seemed to want to plug into the 5 channel amp that is supplied with the non-sony systems. I think that's where he was running into problems. I'll be picking it up here in the next hour and get all the info, but anyone else have this issue? I was planning on doing it myself, but figured it would've been more time efficient to have my audio guy do it while I at least could get some other stuff done on my day off this week.

No issues here. MFT 8" screen in my Plat.
The supplied harness is direct from the battery to the sub and sub's amp. Two connector's on the end of the harness. The only other connection was the wire ends for the splice into the speaker leads.
Sorry to hear of your issues. I hope it's working out for you. For what it's worth, check to make sure they set the bass setting to Neutral or lower. I go back and forth between -1 and 0.

I think it was the splice in leads. Not sure where he taped them into but he got it figured out. Regardless.... This thing HITS hard. I still had my settings on the previous +2 bass and some songs would absolutely thump in the truck. Extremely impressed with this for being a single sub and that it's near factory looking. A very nice overall upgrade for the audio. I also have the kicker door speakers as well.

This Kicker option really is a nice addition for someone who is looking for low end reinforcement without a custom, pieced together, system.

Benny - is it possible to order the three rivets that go into the floor. I also wanted to see if you guys could order me another power outlet like the one on the right side of radio. i thought about putting another where the 4wd switch/coin holder goes.
