Just to be certain... The standard iPad will work with the $150 kit?

If so, is there room to plug the iPad in so that it can stay in the truck permanently without needing to come out to be charged?

no, the 150$ kit is strictly ipad mini. The big ipads are so massive that it requires a lot of modification to go into place, that would run 350$ with the promotion. if you like the bigger screen, the ipad air goes in with little modification compared to the original ipad, and its a good time to upgrade! and yes, u can move the usb connection to the glovebox like most people do.. u just snip off a wire tie and then u can move the usb input just like that. that way u can unplug the usb cable from the glovebox, and plug it into a charger on the dash and it will charge up without taking it out.. hopefully that makes sense

I have a 2014 with the NAV but I would rather an iPad mini . Whats the floating iPad mount? I just want like something that will hold my iPad mini in front of my NAV screen when I want to lol.

I can build some, the problem im having now is buying the Dash pieces.. nobody is reproducing them and ford wants hundreds of dollars each.. I've been scouring the net for a few out of wrecked trucks that I can use for a core exchange deal.. im working on some that slide over the factory screens and still look good while retaining the information center.
