Roadmaster Active Suspension(RAS) is pleased to be a new supporting member of F150forum.com. We would like to thank the members that have purchased the RAS and shared your experiences, and the members that are interested in purchasing an RAS for their Ford truck, with a Group Buy!
The Roadmaster Active Suspension is a heavy duty, variably rated coil spring that works like a muscle to hold the rear leaf spring in their optimum bowed position at all times. Because the RAS is the only patented leaf spring suspension upgrade that works with the existing leaf springs to convert the traditional "passive" leaf spring suspension into an "active" suspension, the RAS offers a combination of benefits no other aftermarket
suspension upgrade is able to provide.
Load Support- Because the RAS holds the rear leaf spring in their optimum bowed position at all times, the leaf springs are strengthened thus greatly reducing rear end sag when loaded to manufacturer max GVWR.
Handling/Stability- By not allowing the spring to flatten out, the vehicle corners more level with greater contact of all four tires to the road. This provides improved traction, which translates to better driver control and stability
Axle Wrap/Wheel Hop- THIS IS THE ISSUE THAT HAS AFFECTED SEVERAL F150 TRUCK OWNERS ON THIS SITE, SEE THE TESTING AND AND REVIEWS IN THE LINK BELOW
Axle wrap occurs when the rotational force of the tires causes the axlehouseing to twist or rotate. This rotations forces the springs to bend into an S-Shape. When the axlehousing rotates far enough, forces cause the tires to lose traction and jump, or hop. Once traction is lost, the springs snap back into there original position
This happens over and over until the truck gains better traction or the driver reduces input by letting of the throttle.
The Roadmaster Active Suspension eliminates axle wrap and wheel hop by absorbing the added force of increased torque while hold the leaf springs in their original bowed shape. The twisting and hop, is thereby reduced. Traction is increased because tire transfer torque to the ground efficiently.

so we pay now, wait till everyone to order, then after the 20th they all ship? if i pay today, i expect it to ship within a couple days. Maybe you could do it like SOLO just did theirs... everyone pays full price and a refund at the end of the sale period based on total orders is sent back to us...

I spoke to Nolan earlier today - they want to make sure there are enough in stock so they can meet the demand. This is the reason for his terms.
They are trying to avoid back orders.

the terms of the group buy are ridiculous, sorry to say it. There is no way that it works. if it's based on the number of people in on the buy, but we pay up front, how in the hell do they know what to charge us!!???? makes no sense. am i missing something???

Sorry for the confusion, I should have clarified this in the original post. We will run all billing information no sooner than April 20, if anybody is interested in the group buy but would rather withhold billing information until then, that is fine too. I will do my best to show an updated list on the number of verbal commitments.
I spoke with our accounting department, we looked at and considered what Solo had done along with a few others. Although that seemed to work well in those particular group buys, particularly, we felt taking care of everything in a single transaction would work best for us.
To jimmy's point, the backorder situation went into consideration as well. We will be all set within the next 5-10 business days on the particular backorder part.
