Here are a couple of benefits with the Kicker package from Ford.
- Plug and Play (does need to be activated at your local Ford dealer, or if you have forscan, you can do it yourself). The harness is already ran in your truck, its behind the c-pillar on the driver side.
-Does not affect the operation of the rear seat in any way.
-The most important in my opinion, is the ability to work with the Auto-Start feature on the ecoboost engines.
Please message me with any questions on this or any other accessory item you may want for your truck1

Any chance you could post a link to tech / install docs for this? If plug and play i'm interested.
So on another note, waiting for my truck with Sony system. From those with experiance I see this Kicker part is a good improvement?

There is no direct link to access unless you a FMCdealer login. I can email a pdf file that shows installation.
As for this being plug and play, it is fully 100% plug and play in the sense that there is no wires to run or anything. Mount the box to the pre-existing holes and your good to go. The sub plugs into a harness that is in the C-pillar
From what I have experienced this is an improvement over the Sony sub, but that is just my personal opinion. Does seem to offer a little deeper low end. I pulled my Sony sub out, to install this one, but that may be a partial opinion.
