^ I would love a Brute conversion but I'm not interested one damn bit with a $80k sticker... Think I priced it out and I can build it for about 1/4th of what they want.

I would say the mid-80s K20. That being said, around here its mostly mudding so it makes sense to have solid axles, leaf springs front and rear and large power. My old one (had to sell, too expensive to haul as it wasnt too street legal) was a '83 K20 with a slightly built 454, Dana 60 and coporate 14 bolt, 44s, straight pipes, limited slip rear and a 400 liter fuel cell. Definitely had no shortage of power, and it would go through anything. Rocks or steep hills would be terrifying, nearly a certain doom.
