So i found a couple used Warns for pretty cheap, and I don't know which to go with. Theres an older M8274-50 used 3 times for $400, i will need to track down a receiver mount, front foot type and i don't know of one, I'm assuming that will cost around $200-300. Or theres an XD9000i, it comes with the receiver mount, also used 3 times and its in immaculate condition, for $700.

Is the 8274 a much better winch? Which would you choose? Does anyone know of a front foot receiver mount? Thanks guys

I've had my Warn 9000i about 10 years, mounted on 3 different vehicles. I have easily used it over 100 times off-road. The winch works flawlessly.
I would highly recommend the 9000i.

I have had an XD9000i since 1997. Also mounted on a semi-hidden mount.

EDIT for opinion: I personally do not like the front receiver mount as it sits the winch way out in front of the bumper. Keep it in the truck till you need it? Just wait till you are stuck in shìt up to the bumper and have to lug that SOB out to the front and attach it to the truck.
