why would u add a leaf for a lift

Default why would u add a leaf for a lift

im new to the whole truck thing as i just bought my first truck and ive heard alot about body lifts, suspension lifts, add a leaf, level kits, shocks. there seems to be alot into lifts and ive been wondering why would u add a leaf ?

because its a cheap way to add rear suspension to your truck, and it'll make you able to haul more/pull a little more. I have 2 add-a-leafs and I offroad it quite a bit

Its cheap and you can do it in your driveway. Adds about 2" and increases payload by ~950lbs

you can even use different leaves too. one of mine is from a bronco, i just had to torch out another keeper pin hole

Default anybody have pics of diff. size body lifts

i seen body lift go up to 3inches but ive also seen one company i think performance accessories has a 5 inch body lift kinda skeptic on buying the 5 inch one since nobody but this company has it anybody have any pics of different size body lifts

a 5 inch body lift is the dumbest thing I've ever heard of don't do it, 3" BL is pushing it a 5" would look like hell

^X2. 5 inch would be scary unstable. i got a 3 and it feels weird.

if feels like it drives different but yea sits up high weird. and either the shifter cable relocator bracket didnt line up right or i didnt put it on right but now my gears are all moved over 2 spaces. like park in the cab is reverse, and R is D, and D is 1st and i cant get it into park. its stupid
