Thanks, before I got the mount I had looked into a new bumper/winch mount combo but I really liked the way she looked as is and that's when I found out about the hidden mount. Bolts directly to the frame so it's never going to flex and none of the winches capacity relies on a bumper.

Can you tell me how wide the part of the mount that comes through the hole in the bumper is? I have a grille guard on my truck that leaves a 14 inch wide opening, and am trying to figure out if this mount will still work for me.

My last truck had a 9000 lb winch mounted to a reciever plate that I could slide into my trailer hitch. I had battery cables run to the rear and would only put the winch in as I needed it. It was nice because the winch could go in the back of the cab when not being used and it wouldn't be exposed to the harsh New York winters. I used it mostly for yard work and rigging trees up at camp to get them to fall they way I wanted them too, I have 2 atvs with winches now that can do the same job, so I never got around to running cables on my truck to use it, but it would work on my f150 the same as my old Ram.

True Wench story, My wife and I were driving along a country road in my new F150 after a storm when we came across a fallen tree over the road,... There was a guy in a mini van off the road in a field sunken down in the mud, he swerved to miss the tree. Within a minute, a guy in a hummer pulled up, had a winch on the front,... and a guy in another F150 pulled up on the other side of the tree,.. he had a chainsaw. In less than 5 minutes, we had the guy in the mini-van back on the road,... the guy in the other F150 had the tree cut up and pulled off the side of the road. All I could do was help clean up debris. I didn't even have a tow rope in the truck, at the time.
I got back in the truck, my wife goes,... "I think we need a wench."
LOL
