Most levels aren't going to recommend much more than 33s. You're only looking at about 2.5 inches raised tops. That being said I've heard people running 35s on a level no problem with a little trimming. You have tons of options though as far as the level. You can get steel spacers, I believe hell bent steel makes a kit for our trucks. You could also get the bilsteins which are shock replacements that will level out the front as well. Just a few you may look into as you're deciding on a level!

The trimming you have to do with 35's and a leveling kit USUALLY is a result of the tire being considerably WIDER than your stock tire ... not because it's taller.
I went with 34" tires on my 1.5" lift/level and they don't even come close to rubbing anything, but then again they are stock width, just 2" taller than stock. Had I gone with a 33" tire that was a 33x12.50x20, I would be getting a little rub on my upper control arm because I"m using my stock wheels which do not offset to the outside to push the tire away from the control arms.
Long story short, you have a few factors to consider regarding whether or not your tires are going to be too big, or rub, or whatever.
