Ive been playing with the idea of swapping in a higher quality, but not super expensive coil over on my 2013 f150 fx4. It has a 6" pro comp lift (with the large spacer ontop of factory strut) so as some of you may know the ride could be better. Truck spends about 80% of its life on pavement and the rest on wash board lease roads (chatter bumps)

Is it worth while to swap in lets say.. a fox 2.0 stage one kit? Will there be a noticeable improvment using these with the pro comp spacer?

I'm running the fox 2.0 with an rcx spacer. Ride, handling, and compliance are much improved with the coilover. Imo, well worth the money. Don't forget to upgrade the rear too.

Majority of the coilovers ( King, Fox, Icon etc... ) will be a much better improvement.


Comes down to how much you are looking to spend.


Check on the for sale section or Race Dezert for some used ones to save some $$.

Fox 2.5 or King 2.5s, the kings are probably cheaper too at around $1,700 and worth every penny of that.

I had Kings on my 2009 and they rode wonderfully. But look into Pro Comps, Fabtechs, Fox, Sway-A-way
