Default 35" mud tires that get atleast 40,000 miles

I'll be putting some 35s on my 01 super crew in the near future and deciding on if I want to go with Goodyear duratracs or an all out mud tire. Are there any 35" mud tires that should get atleast 40k miles and cost less than $1200 for the set on either 16 or 17" wheels? Trying to weigh my options. I know it's all relative to how and where you drive, but in average what are the longer lasting mud terrains. Don't care about road noise but want the best traction while not replacing tires every 10k miles

my opinion since ive owned alot of trucks and so many different mud tires.. the duratracs seem soft and dont last that long IMO.. best tires that are an MT would be the nitto trail grappler, toyo MT, would be the top 2, ive gotten 40k out of the nittos no problem.. cooper STT is a great tire thatll get you great miles, and if your not set on a full on mud tire the BFgoodrich t/a ko tires will get you 40-50 k

There are tons of people who have gotten 40K out of their muds. It's all about keeping up on the rotations and making sure you keep up on pressure. The Pro Comp Xtreme m/t 2's are the only ones that I've seen with a guaranteed 40K treadwear warranty. I don't know that you'll be able to get at set under 1200, but they still might be something to look into.

I've had 2 sets of bfg at's on 2 different trucks and they just don't cut it for me. Need something more aggressive, but I'll look into those options thanks guys

1200 bucks for Muds that last over 40k? Good Luck with that man. a set of 35in Toyos are 1,800. If I was you I would save up the money and invest in some better tires when you have the funds. I've heard of Toyo's lasting for 50k. Of course it's going to be mixed on people's opinions and experiences on tires but I've heard really good reviews.

I have had great luck with the Trxus M/T's, 45,000 miles on my first set and 53,000 on my second set. But they are definitely NOT in the price range you stated you are wanting to stay under in the original post.

You may want to check out the Hankook Dynapro. In the first release of them the compound was wrong but that has been fixed. It beat out pitbull rockers and more than a few more "name brands" in a mud tire shoot out in 4wheeler magazine. Lots of good reviews out there one with a 2500 series dodge getting 60k but even if he is stretching it 10k miles its still pretty damn good.

Don't know about the price for that size rim, but I would assume it might be a little more than what you wanted to spend. I've got Toyo MT's on mine and I have 40k on them now with probably another 12-15k left in tread. Paid a little under $1600 shipped to my door when I bought them. I'll buy them again when the time comes.
