Default Toggle switch question help

Hey so I'm new to the site but I have been checking it out for a while now and I tried as much searching as I can but I can't find anything on this. I have 2 sets of piaa lights that are going to be going in a light bar and I'm ditching the switches that came with the lights and I'm going to run toggle style switches instead. Now my delema is I have 2 switches that will be going in the truck to run the lights but in the near future I am planning on getting more stuff for more switches so when I open up my dash to install the 2 switches I was thinking about adding 2 more so having a total of 4 switches in the cab. What I want to do is wire all 4 switches into the engine compartment so I don't have to rip it open again next time I want to install something that needs a switch. So I guess all in all I have 2 questions. One; has anyone done something similar to this and 2, is there something I can purchase some sort of fuse box or something that would have power going to it from the battery that all the switches would tie too kind of thing and then the accessories would then tie to the box?

Thanks in advance

Painless performance sells what is called a circuit boss. You can buy a variety, I bough a 3 circuit which gives me one switched and 2 constant hot. You can get fuse blocks with up to seven slots. What this allows is the circuit boss connects to the battery as a stand alone fuse block and you can attach accessories as desired. I am by no means a mechanic or an electrician, but the install is very easy and the directions are great. You would be able to connect your toggle switches as well. Again, the name of the company is Painless Performance. Hope this helps.

Cool thanks, I checked it out earlier today and found one in stores, I'll hopefully get around to putting it in this weekend.

Hi.

Want quality? Use something like these:

http://www.bluesea.com/products/cate...locks/ST_Blade

http://assets.bluesea.com/images/pro...26_install.jpg

http://www.centechwire.com/Auxiliary...Panel-AP-1.htm

http://www.fuzeblocks.com/

Regardless - remember to:

- fuse anything passing though the firewall

- never run high current direct to the toggle switches - use them only to trigger relays to actually switch yer loads

-follow all electrical safety and wiring best-practices. Or you risk turning yer truck into a bonfire.

good luck

I'm still figuring all this out lol but I won't do any work till I know exactly what to do, but I guess the way to install everything properly would to wire install the switches and wire them to their own relay and then from the relay to the cirkit boss and the accessory? I don't know why I'm having such a hard time figuring this out but I don't want to screw something up while installing it.
