i run the same size goodyear but it's a gsa race tire so you won't get the good wear. not sure about the wrangler though. you might check cooper tires. they look like good tires in that size and they look like they will hook up and last a long time as well. good luck.

Don't mean to hijack the thread, but after a lot of consideration I went with Firestone Destination M/T 285/70/17 for my '01 F-150 Supercrew 4x4 with stock suspension to replace the BF Goodrich All Terrain A/T of the same size because I couldn't afford BFG Mud Terrains. Anybody have experience with these Destination M/T? I'll be in the hunting club primarily, with maybe a foot of clay occasionally.

Hey Y'all,
Just to update you on those Firestone Destination M/T tires I just got... went to the hunt club this weekend (after several days of light rain) to find some really nice (sloppy, deeply rutted) clay roads that were not even a challenge for these tires. They aren't as solid feeling on pavement as the worn-out BFGs were, but that could be due to the really tall tread blocks that might be a little wiggly against the pavement - may improve with wear. But in the muck, they've been great.
