Ok i kept my stock steel wheels on my 94 f150 xl 4x4. I put a set of general grabber at2 31's on . I was wondering how much this might set my speedo off at 55?

What is the stock tire size for your truck? It will be in the drivers side door jam. I believe stock tire size is real close to 31" tall. It looks like the most common size was 255/70-16. If this is your stock size, it works out to be 30.05" tall, that 1" in height won't make much of a difference on the speedo at all. If you had the 265/70-17 versions, those work out to be just over 31" (31.6") tall, so your current tires would be a tad shorter in height, and again, shouldn't be noticable on your speedo. For what its worth, I just installed 33" tall tires (305/70-16) and checked my speed using an accurate GPS and my speedo isn't off by any measureable amount at all. Makes me wonder how off it was before I installed the larger tires.

235/65-15?? And this is 4X4? I had bigger stock tires on my Explorer. And this is what is in your door correct? Because a previous owner, or a tire shop might have down sized the tires without your knowledge. Those tires are 27" tall, so yes, your going to see a difference in your speedo.

I believe you mean 235/75 15, if this is the case you will be off by about 4 MPH at 65 meaning that while your speedometer reads 65 you will be traveling at 69. There is a post about changing your speedometer settings either on the how-to or the forum for your truck.
