Default tire size

I have an 03 with stock 255/70/16 tires on it. How much larger a tire can I go without getting new rims or a lift kit. Also can you recommend a tire?

if it was me id go with n-fab or amp power streps those are the best two the amp power ones are great becuse they tuck under the truck until you open the door which might not be good if you was stuck in mud lol and the n-fab ones just look sweet
