Default Tire Pressure Help

Im running some 265/75/r16 BFG A/T KO's on my f150 now. I was wondering what you all are running for on and off road. The tire shop has them pumped up to 35, which is what I had the stock tires at.
Shouldnt a 3 ply side wall need something more like 45psi for street?
What should I air down to for soft dirt and mud?

Honestly not sure what your tire size is but I am running 35x12.5x17 and have them set at 35psi as well for normal everyday driving. Sure you can bump them up and save some gas but I have found it also wears the tires faster. Around 35 for my particular tire seems to be the sweet spot so to say. I also used that same tire pressure on my TRXUS that I had previously and got 55,000 miles out of that set.

Do the chalk test to figure out your street psi for over sized tires. Peterson's did a article on it some time ago. As for wheeling I run 10-15psi

First, good choice of tire.

Second, what kinds of roads do you drive? In the snow I find I've better traction on a graded road with ~50psi.

I have the same tire (BFG TA KO) and size (265/75/16 E load rating). I run mine a 50psi (front and rear) for on road only. When hauling heavy loads I up the pressure. I have yet to take it far enough off road to where I need to change the tire pressure for better traction.

Whatever pressure you choose it is always good to monitor for uneven wear.

if youre running stock size go with pressure rating on door jamb. otherwise you have to play with the pressure. air it up, see how its wearing and adjust accordingly.

my 35" BFGs are set at 45psi. 30k miles on em and 7/32" of tread left. pretty damn good wear.

pressure also depends on terrain.
