Default Tire opinions

I am looking at new tires in the near future. The kumho road venture m/t size 315/70r17 and the Mickey Thompson baja claw ttc size 33x12.5x17. Anyone have experience with either of these tires?

I've heard good things about the MC Baja, and Ive seen the Kumho RoadVenture MT's and they are kick *** looking but I haven't heard any reviews on them.

Why the two different sizes? I'm sure they make a 35 in the MC as well.

The 35s in the Mickey Thompsons are almost 300 dollars a tire. Both of those sizes I mentioned are 250 dollars a tire. I'd like the kumho in a 33 but they don't make a 12" wide 33, or at least I couldn't find it on onlinetires or tirerack

I had the old style mt baja claws and I loved them. Not to noisy and pulled really good I thought. But I bought mine used with about 1/2 tread. So I can't say about how they will wear.

I did some reading on the baja claws and people said the older MTZs would get real squirly whenever it was wet but the TTCs were supposed to be better about that. Did you have problems like that with yours fat?
