Look on craigslist and in junkyards for Super Duty axles. Just be sure the front is a D60 and not a D50. I found a complete set (D60 & 10.5 from a wrecked '04 F-350 diesel) on CL in AZ about a year ago, already geared to 4.56 for $900. That's a smokin' deal around here.

That bronco graveyard kit looks pretty lame, with those link drop brackets being so low. If you actually go on the rocks with that you'd bend or break that **** in no time.

I wouldn't waste money on the 44 for the rear. Our axles are much stronger than those to start with. If the front axle is a D50 would work, but obviously the D60 is stronger and more desirable. Talk to the guy that owns the off-road shop and see what ideas he has for it and make sure you want what he's thinking of. You could link it, use radius arms or leaf springs. All depends on what style you and what kind of wheelin' you'll be doing.

If you are using a super duty front, you're going to want to get a super duty rear as well, or your bolt pattern on your rims won't match.

BTW, south texas rocks! I live an hour south of san antonio.
