Default stock lift

I want to lift my truck a little to get a more agressive look, i dont really have the money though, will the truck look good if i just crank the t-bars and get either bigger blocks or shorter leaf shackles? I have a 97 f-150, thanks fellas

Yes i cranked up my Torsion bars on my 1998 f150 and it made a world of a difference for the looks, It lifted it about 1 1/2 to 2 inches

It's a good cheap way of getting a little bit of lift. I would suggest purchasing a set of torsion keys, designed to re-index your bars without having to "crank" them. I believe Tuff Country and Doetsch Tech both have 2" torsion bar kits. And I'm sure there are many others....

@1998f150xlt: Nice looking truck. I like the black on black.

are you trying to get people to waste money???? stock torsion keys will lift the truck 2in aftermarket keys will lift the truck 2.5in max because you only have so much down travel in the stock suspension

Not at all...

For starters, we don't sell either of these products. I'm just going off experience from my time working in various off road shops. Yes, you can "crank" the stock keys to get the height. But with the aftermarket, you don't have to max out the adjuster, because the bar is indexed differently.

That is all I was saying...

This is a discussion forum isn't it? It's fine if you don't agree with my opinion, but I don't understand the hostility. It's just that...my "opinion". The OP can read it, as well as your comments and make up his own mind. Just because I don't (currently) have an F-150, I can't participate?

As for the sig, when I first registered, I followed the instructions in this link: https://www.f150forum.com/faq.php?fa...q#faq_ad_rules

I am not trying to promote/sell the OP anything. As I mentioned, we don't sell these parts. I removed the sig until our "Vendor" status is set up, as you requested.
