Default Starter Full of Sand

Hello All,

New member here. I took my 2009 F150 Lariat 4x4 on the beach while on vacation at the OBX. Shortly after (day or two) I started having starter problems, the bendix was sticking. Changed it out a couple days ago. As it turns out the starter was full of sand. I was wondering if anyone else has had this happen?

Thanks in advance.

Gary

No, never went in or near the water. Drove on the packed sand going out initially. When we came back the tide was in and had to drive up in the loose sand. Ruts were probably a good 12" deep.
