Snorkel
It is now time for me to add a snorkel to my 95 F150. I have searched online and found a couple ideas, but has anyone done this to their truck and have pictures? Also any tips and comments are welcome.
Thanks

You can use pvc pipe, or exhaust tubing. I was working on putting a snorkle on my ranger using a D5 bull dozer air cleaner but had to get rid of the truck for a move. If its a daily driver I would recommend putting some kind of rain guard on it.

I plan on doing a home-made to save some money and juest because I like doing this kind of stuff, but just for the heck of it how much did it cost for your safari snorkel plus the labor?

Here take a look at this. Found this back when I still had my explorer. Its just an idea on how it could be done. I dont remember where the intake boxes are on those year f150s

I've mainly seen two ways for running a filter on my snorkel.
The first way is to completely take out the stock intake box, hook up pvc to the intake tubes, and throw a cone filter on top of the pvc.
The second way is to leave the stock intake box in, plug all the holes in it(the big one where the air comes in and the drainage holes), cut a hole in the side of the box for the pvc(and silicone around the the pvc once inserted into the box), then throw an arb snorkel head at the top.
What is everyones opinion on the two ways? Which do you think is better and why?
Thanks
Bubba
P.S. Sorry about the too big of picture.

In my opinion I would go with an ARB snorkel head. It looks cleaner and has a more professional touch. But the only bad part is they are a about $70. On the other hand in the rain the filter would get to wet and start messing things up, power due to lack of air and sucking water down, unless you run an outerwears prefilter.
