Ok guys. Done some searching and no luck so far. I'm gonna build a hidden winch bracket for my truck but I want to get the winch first. Have any of you guys had any experience with smitty built winches. I'm looking at a 10,000 lb smitty built with the synthetic rope for about $575 shipped. I'm a little concerned about the 218:1 gear ratio. I've seen others with a closer to 300:1 gear ratio but generic brand. Just don't want to drop that much change on something that's not gonna be reliable when I need it. Thanks for your imput.
