I actually have an excellent fab shop nearby, but this is a good "light" project to help my fabrication experience. I got a welder close to a year ago, and I'm finally starting to trust my welds on lighter duty stuff. plus i am 1.5 semesters away from getting my BS in Computer Aided Drafting and Design. I'm doing some hand drafting right now, and will put my best designs into a CADD software (i prefer solidworks), with the correct dimensions. then i will tweak to a final product. overkill for some skidplates, yes, but fun at the same time.

For a 2005 xlt. My truck is stock. I have replaced my p/s cooler lines and cooler due to parking on snow and ice. I need protection... Any help out there? Thanks

Supporting vendor here, RCI Metalworks, makes a ton of skid plates for your truck. I would check them out first.
