Default Skid plates for '04-'08 ?

I'm looking for pics of skid plates, stock or aftermarket, for the '04-'08 model trucks. Any location underneath: front end, transmission, gas tank, whatever you got.

Trying to get ideas for either buying some, or inspiration for making my own.

Thanks!

Do you have tow hooks in the front? or do you have cut outs?

you can go with the westin bull bar w/skid plate to protect the front from tree's rocks and of the like. Just installed one the other day on my truck, it's a little bit of a pain in the *** but not to bad, only took me about 1 - 2 hours to install. If you go with that make sure you get the license plate relocation kit if it's the law in your state. Also they sell lights you can put on it also.

I have a 2004 f150 XLT, and it fit quiet well, i'll have to get a picture up of it. Chrome comes with a lifetime warranty.

that's what it looks like.

To be completely honest I dont know. It always gets serviced at ford. They have never said anything about it being harder so I dont think so. I have the procomp lift so I had it build by a company out in vegas called Woolworth Motorsports. It has two hooks welded to the cross member to attach the bottom screws. Then the top has a pipe from both my tow hooks with metal tabs welded from there. Came out hella good. Then I trimmed by from bumper up (the black plastic) to make it look more visible and think that came out hella good to. Thanks for the compliment

Thank you for the replies so far!

2004_F150_Offroad:

I have the towhooks in front. I like the style of the bull bars, i may make one like them someday. Luckily, AR is rear plate only.

lvhonda55:

Picture saved! While I don't have a lift, that's almost exactly what I am looking for to protect the front end. The mounting method sounds very straightforward as well.

I have another vehicle for more "hard core" offroading, but I never know when this truck may be called in for extraction duty. I may get a leveling kit, but not much bigger tires.

With that in mind, I want the underside to be very protected. Let's just say (on previous vehicles) I've dented a gas tank or 2 Did any options package come with a gas tank skidplate? That's a large piece of real estate to cover up.

I've also noticed the exhaust y-pipe is in a rather precarious location.
