Silver Lake Dunes in my '12 scab
Have a big trip planned for this weekend to Silver Lake dunes with our club and since my 83 Ranger Truggy isnt finished yet looks like I will be cruising the dunes in my daily driver 12 SCAB 5.0 4x4.
Truck is bone stock with an open diff and stock 18" wheels and tires....I sure hope it does ok!
Pictures to come soon!

Well the weekend turned out awesome. We had good size group go and our vehicles ranged from stock older Jeeps to brand new Rubicons and few serious rock crawlers on 40"+ tires....then my stock F150.
I aired down my tires to 12psi and used 4hi all day with the trans in manual mode switching between 1st and 2nd gear. Truck was a beast in the sand! Never got stuck once and climbed every hill there with ease. My buddy owns Best Tops old cover Jeep 4 door Rubi and this thing is built to the hilt with 30k invested in it and the hills that took him 4-6 tries to get up my truck would fly up on the first try. We were all shocked how good mine did.

Looks like fun. I was born in Mi. I remember when I was a kid a long time ago we went to Sleeping Bear. Took the ride in the open trucks with balloon tires. What a blast.

Man looks like fun. I cant believe your truck did so well. Sand always scares me more then mud or snow. I know how to drive in mud and snow but sand seems to just bury me, but it could be the tires I run as well

When in the sand the lower tire pressure you can run the better off you will be.
Truck was amazing in my opinion. Last time I was there was 2011 in my old 90 Bronco2. It had a efi 5.0/c4 combo on 35" KM2s and to be honest I had more fun in the F150 this weekend than I did in my B2 years ago.
My B2 overheated all day,got stuck a bunch of times and barely had the power to climb the biggest hills.Plus the short wheelbase sucked for tryin to get any speed in some of the flat sections since even the smallest set of whoops would throw the truck all over the place when the F150 just soaked up the same sections this time.
