Default sand tires

Been hanging out and working at the beach a lot lately and what I've discovered is most mud tires SUCK in the sand because they dig. I was wondering if anyone knows a good tire thats equivilant to pooular mud tires as far as road manners but get good traction in sand?

I think that my Toyo AT2 do just fine in the sand when aired down a tad.

If you want even more sand performance, check out the Nitto Dune Grappler

With ANY tire in the sand you must air down, that is very important. That said Ive found my BFG KM2's have been far better in the sand than the BFG AT's before them. (This is on my Ranger)

Yup, airing down is the key. I have a mid 70's Chevy rcsb play toy on 36" swampers (about as mud tire as you can go), and aired down to 12 psi, I don't even put it in 4x4 to go anywhere in Glamis. And, Glamis is much softer/finer sand than you will find at a beach.
