Default Regearing calculator

in case you guys have to change your gears i found this online

it says i should regear to 4.23 so i dont know if i should get 4.10, 4.11 or 4.56 i have 37 inch tires what do you guys think

I have 4:56 with 37s world of difference from the stock 3:73. Better around town mpg but highway isnt that great

What about 4.30? Thats a size you don't hear to often but they make them. I guess most guys do 4.10 or 4.56.

richmond only makes gears for the ford 8.8 our front but not the 9.75

Keep in mind the calculator only does math based on the change in tire height. The extra weight and rotational mass of bigger tires isn't included. So you're probably better off rounding up.

gotcha so i guess 4.30 would be the better of both worlds. mpg and power

The new F250s can come in 4.30 so I wonder if they get them from motive. I was looking at go to 4.30 since my winter tires are 33s and summer tires and 35s. I think the 4.56 will be great for the 35s but too much for the 33s.

well socal50 said 4.56 are too much for highway. i travel alot for my job. kinda in a pickle right now
