Have you recently had the fluid dumped? If so, may need friction modifier to stop the chatter.

If no, then pull the rear end cover and do a good cleaning of the clutches with a quality brake cleaner. Inspect for any chunks of material. Then refill with a good diff oil, and use motorcraft friction modifier. Make about a dozen tight figure eights to work the modifier into the plates. This may get rid of the chatter.

Usually when the plates get worn, it mimics an open diff, not chatter. Chattering is an indication of glazed plates and steels. My 2010 is clutched rather tight, and needs the modifier to smooth it out ( and I usually run the Detroit NoSpin in all my vehicles, but this lsd actually works 75k and counting)
