As far as the radio itself you have to find one you like personally in your price range. Don't over look the pawn shops either. As far as antenna(s) I personally never recommend duals on a pickup. The SWR's never get as low. I run a Wilson 1000 on my truck SWR's are flat, and I out talk all my buddies that run duals (of course there are only 2 of them now). Just food for thought.

I just put the cobra 19 w/ 2 4ft whips in the bed in my truck. what are the popular channels? whats does everyone talk on? theres alot of people running cbs around here and i cant even get someone to answer a radio check

Dual whips in the back do not get as good as reception as in the front. When your antenna is in the back your truck has to be in an open area, and has to be backed in to get out. Guy told me that who sold me mine, he has been installing cbs on trucks for over 25 years. Plus the wiring is a b$@#. I have a cobra, was $50. Love it.
