I was told a long time ago that "if your fiberglass doesn't match the color of your truck, you bought the wrong color truck". It just so happens that fiberglass comes in white lol.

Nope, you are spot on! (I'm an RC nut BTW - I've got 40 or so and 25ish are vintage RC10s)
He's ^^^ right. The issue with the Raptor is the front is so damn heavy that I prefer a higher rate so I can keep control at speed but my low speed suffers a bit. Some guys run Fox 3.0s but get a custom spring from Eibach that's a tad heavier. The seem very happy with that combo and have no complaints about slow speed jarring.
Ultimately I'll probably get a 650lb spring vs the 675lb I'm running now - should solve the problem.

Its not entierly based on spring rate. I have a long travel kit on my 2000 f150 and im running a 2.5 coilover with a 750lb main spring and a 400lb tension spring. You only want enough spring to hold the truck at the desired ride height with a minimum of 1.5 in of preload (On coilover trucks). where you will get the inconsistent ride quality is with the valving of the shocks. They could be valved far to heavy for your intended pupose. Or. vise versa. Obviously there has to be some sort of happy medium met, but my truck has no comfort issues driving around town and handles a pretty crazy set of whoops (1-2.5 ft tall) at 75mph like a cadillac on a speed bump.

¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Haven't posted in a while. Have had two outings with the truck got some pics and video of both.
First trip I had some fun with the RPG and WOG guys in Barstow. Pushed her hard and ended up bending the stock tie rods. Time for single swing steering.
few pics.
few action shots of the old girl
Guess 80-90mph was too much for the stock tie rods.
little video.
Threw on another set of stock tie rods and took the the old girl and took her out to Perris Auto Speedway. Entered the truck in the spectator race for the Night of Destruction. Got taken out in the first round. Truck has the straight line speed, but I had to slow way down in the turns to keep the left side tires on the ground.
